Fender Custom Shop Limited 1964 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic, Super Faded Aged Shell Pink.
For sale is a stunning Fender Custom Shop 1964 Stratocaster, which was originally purchased brand-new, by someone who knew no better than to clean the entire guitar with lemon oil!
The oil had originally penetrated and stained the finish of the guitar, particularly sinking into the checked nitrocellulose finish which is still slightly visible on the body and captured in the photos.
In late-2023, the guitar was shipped back to the Custom Shop where a replacement neck was made, and fitted to the instrument under the Limited Lifetime Warranty.
The mishandling of the guitar by its original owner has not compromised its structural integrity and the oil stains are purely cosmetic. Aside from this, the guitar sounds incredible! Its trio of handwound Texas Special pickups are still glassy and bright while driving the amp a little harder. The bridge pickup sounds fat, full and is super useable!
The '63 'C' profile neck feels chunky, and really fills out the back of your hand. It is topped with a super dark rosewood fingerboard and looks the part.
